Exam Centre

I’m going to be homeschooled this year (year 11). I have noticed the exam fees are £200+. Is there a cheaper alternative? Is there the possibility I can sit them in my old school?
ask your old school to see if you can sit them for free.

You can ask your old school, it's up to them to decide if they will accept you and what fee they would charge. The price you would pay as a private candidate would not usually just be the exam fee charged by the examiner.

The JCQ web site might help you find centres in your area that you can contact for their prices. Schools and colleges that are willing to do it would usually be much cheaper than specialist tutorial/exam centres.

How many GCSE do you plan to to take? £200 won't go very far as a private candidate.
