Physiotherapy application 2025/2026

Hi all

As an international student - will start G12 in Sep 2024, the chance of being accepted for internatinal student for UK PT is limited - 5%?

With an average around 90-93 marks for the time being (only 3 subjects got final grades), what University for PT is recommended?

I will have tentatively - University of Southampton, University of Nottingham,University of Birmingham,University of Liverpool.

I have done some shadowing, and hosptial volunteering job. What others I need to strengthen?

Now, I am working with PS.

Your suggestion will be much appreciated

Hi @sarahcave

I hope you can also consider the University of Bradford among other Universities 😉 We have our very own Physiotherapy and Sports Rehabilitation Clinic, which is helpful for students to get real-life experience on campus!

Being an international student does not put you at a disadvantage in the slightest, and 30% of our students at Bradford are from countries across the world, making the University of Bradford as diverse and inclusive as it is!

Having some shadowing experience and a job in a healthcare setting is absolutely great. A tip is to mention those and make them link within your Personal Statement. Demonstrate how those experiences have equipped you with the skills to study the Physiotherapy degree, and become a great Physiotherapist.

This will therefore show those reading your Personal Statement that you do have knowledge of the Profession and are ready to do your best, shown through your efforts of volunteering in the past.

Best of luck, and feel free to ask more questions if need be
