Previous AHP - student finance/ Learning support fund

Hi

I have been accepted into Occupational therapy.

However I am still awaiting my student finance to be approved, therefore awaiting to submit evidence to NHSBSA.

I currently am in a full time job and extremely anxious about the funding and notice period.

My previous study includes:

BA - History (dropped out after a week)

Access to HE.

BSC Nursing AHP- completed 2 years.

I have been assured that AHP degrees dismiss and previous study including AHP previous study. Also that I could get the learning support fund as it’s a new course. However a lot rides on getting the tuition fees/ maintenance and the learning support fund.

Has anyone had similar experience?

There shouldn't be a problem with obtaining the funding for your OT course given that SFE ignores previous study for AHP courses. As long as you are going to study at a uni in England, there shouldn't be a problem with your application to the NHS LSF either. There are lots of posts on TSR from members with previous study or degrees who have received full SFE funding and the NHS LSF for AHP, nursing or midwifery courses. Try not to worry.
