Repetitive patterns of behaviour that person driven to perform due to intense fear or anxiety. This could be checking household appliances multiple times, fiddling with objects for symmetry, or cleaning the hands multiple times, etc.

Avoidance of certain stimuli - e.g. avoiding public toilets due to a fear of germs.
•
Feelings of fear, shame, anxiety
•
Low mood due to impact this may have on daily life - social situations, work/ education, etc
•
Awareness the OCD is irrational
•
Intrusive urges or thoughts, mental imagery entering the head
