uni courses (im going insane help me please)

I'm just starting y13 so I have to start applying to university soon. But I'm so lost about what to do/where to go. I would love to do English Literature, as English has always been my favourite school subject. However, I have been considering doing it as a joint course with Film studies. I've never studied film, but I did media for a while at the beginning of a levels before dropping it as it was my fourth subject. From experience so far they link/ join quite well?
I was really just wondering what people's experience has been doing a joint course, especially with english lit and / or film studies. Is it easier just doing one subject????
I haven't been looking at any specific uni's at the moment apart from Glasgow, so any comments/advice about experiences at Glasgow studying anything but especially English Lit would also be helpful.
Any advice or help on this would be so appreciated!

hey! i'm in a very similar situation (going into year 13 and feeling the pressure of deciding uni courses) i'm looking into doing english language and literature at uni and i currently study media, english language, and english lit at a-level. i am also a very big film fan so have looked into film studies a lot too.
i went on the exeter scholars summer school this summer and they have a joint english lit and film studies course which was really good. i got to attend a uni-style lecture and they also have a cinema/film museum and archive on campus which was amazing.
even though exeter does have the rep for being a bit of a 'posh private school uni'- i would seriously recommend looking into it if you're interested in and english+film degree.
even though i know i definitely want to do lit+lang, part of me also really loved the look of that course and what the uni had to offer for english and film students.
also apparently bristol does a good film studies course? all i know is that the current london editor of letterboxd studied film there so maybe that's also worth considering!
hope that helps a little bit
