University and work experience

I did work experience at a pharmacy GP and a charity shop. I'm planning on doing medicine (hence work experience related to medicine). Will the universities ask for proof of work experience (like a certificate)?

The manager at my GP work experience said that universities will ask and that she will provide me a certificate. That's why I asked. Thanks for the reply :smile:
