What is your best technique for memorising content ?

How do you memorise effectively and quickly? I often need to do this for A level Chemistry and Computing.

I like to re type things on word and then use the read aloud function to make the computer read it back to me over and over lol

that sounds good! Word has a good read-aloud system, but this probably won't work for mechanisms lol
For chemistry, specifically organic, I would rewrite the entirety of the synthetic routes and required equations out over and over until I didn’t need to reference my copy to complete it. For inorganic, I would draw a table of all the transition metal ion colours, separate ones for the hexaaqua ions, NH3, and NaOH solutions. They were put up on my wardrobe and would often turn around and try to remember the colours of each table. The order of elements were obviously by order of the periodic table so all I had to do was remember which ones had coloured states and then the order of the colours. Colouring them in yourself helps too as you may remember the order you coloured them in with.
