Offered a place on my course but haven't heard anything in 2 weeks, super stressed!!!

Hey Guys,

I hope someone can help or offer advice as I'm starting to get super stressed!

I was offered a place on a Paramedic Science degree 2 weeks ago but didn't receive any information to enable me to enrol on my course. I called the uni the day after my email offer to confirm my place but there was trouble finding this confirmation as I was never sent a student number. After further checks I was told I had a place and not to worry and I should be sent an email soon with a student number so I could access the 'student view' platform.

2 weeks later and I still have not received any information so I called them up today. Again issues locating my place due to no student number, however they found me after more info, and after being on hold to speak to their supervisor, I was told not to worry and to be "more patient". Not frustrated with the staff on the helplines at all as I understand they must be super busy at the moment, but I am just really worried that my place isn't secured and that this is a mistake and I don't actually have a place.

I am just worried as I can't enrol on my course until I receive this information, and after speaking to others they have all enrolled with no issues, I have also joined 2 teams calls with the university where they we should have all enrolled by now. I may be overthinking but if not any advice or tips are welcomed! Apologies if this is normal and I'm making a fuss out of nothing

This is most definitely not normal, and you are perfectly correct to "make a fuss" until the uni sorts this out.

You write that you were "offered a place on a Paramedic Science degree 2 weeks ago". Was this offer received as the result of an application via Clearing? Was it just verbal or do have email confirmation? If it was an offer via Clearing, then did you add the university/course as your Clearing choice via UCAS Hub?

In fact, what does UCAS Hub say right now with respect to your application for this course or your status overall?

Does UCAS (and this uni) have your personal email address, or are they using your school / college email address? Have you checked your junk folder for any missed emails from them?

Which uni is this? (Some are better at student admin than others.)
