Need some help with money and budgeting?

Managing your money and sticking to a budget is part of being a student. This might feel daunting but don't worry!

There are plenty of ways to stick to your budget, like tracking your spending, meal planning, and using your student discount. Here's some other things to think about when it comes to student money:

Student discounts: you can get discounts on different things like eating out, clothing and electronics with participating retailers using Unidays, Student Beans and Totum.

There's also discounts on public transport for students, like the 16-25 railcard for train journeys and discounted bus tickets.

Discounts on campus: here on campus there's discounts at on on-campus gym, Unique Fitness, free eye tests are available with final-year optometry students under supervision at our on-campus Eye Clinic, and the student-led Physiotherapy and Sports Rehabilitation Clinic offer free health checks and cheap physio sessions!

Part-time jobs on campus: opportunities include Student Ambassador roles, where you can get valuable experience working a variety of events and outreach programmes. Our Student Creators Hub rewards you for creating content like blogs, or if you're looking for a part-time job, our Career and Employability Services are here to help.

Money support at Bradford: our Student Life Team can give you impartial money advice and guidance, and scholarships, bursaries and grants are extra form of income that you can apply for to help with university costs.

One of my top tips is meal plan and prep! Going to the supermarket with a set list helped me stick to a budget, and by making bigger batches of food it meant I had leftovers that were quick to grab the next day.
