SFE Funding for MA Modern History at Canterbury Christ Church University?

Hello, just registering for a 'MA Modern History' with Canterbury Christ Church University, but not entirely sure if SFE provide Postgraduate Funding for this course at CCCU. Anyone have any experience of this? I'm trying to call SFE, but naturally they're really busy too at this time. Any answer/guidance appreciated, thank you all, Tony.
Hi TSB68,

There are two 'Modern History' courses at Canterbury Christ Church University that are eligible for the Postgraduate masters loan.

One is full time, the other is part time.

Thanks, Clare

Oh, thank you so much Clare for the advice! I see you are an Official Rep', so I can take your answer as authoritative then, which is exactly what I needed right now, thank you!
I think CCCU are now only doing a full-time 1 year course (or at least that is what I am applying for), but the key thing for, which you've answered and most importantly to me is knowing the funding is an option (I know I meet all the other criteria from my application so far - but I think I described the course as 'MA History' in my application and SFE said it did not show up as funded at CCCU).
So, obviously I need to contact them and get that course title updated to 'MA Modern History' - 1year, asap then!
Thanks for your guidance Clare, very much appreciated. Take care, kind regards, Anthony.

Hello Clare, wishing you well.
Sorry to ask you for more help, but I just wanted to ask if it might be better for me to send the SFE Changes of Circumstances Form to notify of the correct name for my course (e.g. 'MA Modern History') to get my funding resolved?
(I think my problem was I described the course title incorrectly when I initially applied for funding).
I am finding it quite difficult to get through on the phone to SFE at present (unsurprising, they must be very busy right now!) and also if I post a form for the correct course title change, then I can also validate it with a recorded delivery receipt from the Post Office.
My course starts at the end of September and I appreciate that it may take 8 weeks (SFE say) to process any changes, but that's ok if know the funding is there/coming like you confirmed yesterday (as I said, all my other application criteria is ok/approved).
Sorry, I might sound a bit stressed, but with all things financial it is good to know and really helpful to have people like yourself there to guide us through these 'worry wobbles'!
Thank you for your attention and guidance, kind regards, Anthony.
Hello there. Yes, you can send a change of circumstance's to update your course. Once we receive it in the post it takes around 5 working days to update this. You can find them on our GOV.UK website.

Here is the 24/25 Masters Loan form: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/2024-to-2025-postgraduate-masters-change-of-circumstances-form

Thanks, Leah.

Oh! Thank you so much Leah, that is so very helpful and such a swift reply, great! You guys at The Student Room are so supportive and answer questions so quickly.
It really helps and I (and I'm sure, many others do!) appreciate you being there to save time and answer questions that others might seem superfluous, but when you're mid-application this is great resource of reassurance and support to resolve issues quickly and avert unnecessary stress.
Thank you for being there and volunteering your time to support others like myself. Kind regards, Anthony.
You're very welcome 🙂 Have a great day!

Thanks, Leah.
