If you completed a referral for a module, and combined got higher than 40% will you still only be capped at 40%? And does the uni round up your grade overall for examples of I got a 54.47% over all my modules will it get rounded to 55% ?

Hi! 🙂
I think this can vary between courses and degrees but, from my experience, I have been told that my degree caps any retakes of assessments at a 40% pass. I haven't heard anything about rounding grades up as most of my results have the .xx% at the end but this can be at the discretion of the assessment/examination board.
I'd recommend contacting the specific school for your course to know exactly how this works for your specific degree.

but if it were to be rounded wouldn't it be rounded to the nearest whole number meaning 54.47 to 54.5 and the 56,
Plymouth doesn’t not explain its system on rounding, or how it works for people not in final year

I think this definitely depends on the course and the examination board so I'd recommend emailing your school or course lead to find out more about the specific processes and if/how rounded grades are calculated 🙂
