Where can I find "New tool to show actual grades needed to go to uni"?

I want to use a tool to determine what universities I can get into with my grades.

I heard that there was this tool referenced here -> https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy73wv35v0lo

I've searched and searched but I cannot find it anywhere. Is this tool available, if so can someone help me please?

If you go onto a course page on the UCAS website and scroll down past the entry requirements to "Historical entry grades data", then it shows you. I'm not sure a) how accurate this is, and b) how much data this is based off (the sample sizes seem to be very small, so I'd take them with a pinch of salt)
For example : https://digital.ucas.com/coursedisplay/courses/bba4532d-b29d-25ca-a9fa-4637a83cef76?academicYearId=2024&backUrl=https:%2F%2Fwww.ucas.com%2Fexplore%2Fsearch&courseOptionId=5918cd1d-0368-4970-b560-bfad5db7ff5d

Are the entry requirements a more reliable tool to work out if I can get into a university with my grades?

Just look at the individual university admissions pages, see what their standard offer is, and consider how your predicted grades compare to that. You don't need a tool to tell you that, as all it's doing is exactly what you could do with your own brain by looking at them directly

Also bear in mind that at any given uni the entry criteria can vary widely between two courses!

I have already got my grades, BBC, and I'm applying for Geography BA whilst doing my gap year. Do you have any good university suggestions?

Bangor, Birkbeck, Coventry, Edge Hill, Heriot-Watt, Keele, UWE Bristol, Bath Spa, Winchester?

A slight stretch might be Reading, RHUL, Hull, UEA, Cardiff, Aberdeen...

If you are eligible for a contextual offer there might be some more options (like Glasgow)

Thanks.

I'm going to look into those universities, I'm resitting my maths (where I got a C) and trying to aim for a higher grade. Then I may go through the clearing process and see if there is a better option for me.

Yes, most definitely. As Artful_Lounger says, look at the entry requirements for the courses you're interested in on the specific universities websites. They'll be the grades the university is after for that course

Thank you. I have received lots of useful information from people on this thread and another thread surrounding my grades and what universities I could apply for. This forum is a lifesaver!

If I were to resit and get an A, growing my grades to a ABB. What universities would be open for me? Would there be similar options or different ones?

Thanks in advance.
