IAL Mathematics Pure 4 Question:

f(x)= (2+kx)^-3, |kx| < 2, where k is a positive constant. the binomial expansion of f(x), in ascending powers of x, up to and including the term in x^2 is a+bx+243/16 x^2

You must have covered the infinite series binomial expansion, so just do that up to the quadratic term and you should be able to get a, b and k.
