accepting offer whilst waiting for another

This may be a dumb question, but if I apply to Uni A for courses 1 and 2, and I have received an offer for course 1 but not 2, can I accept 1 and then (if I receive an offer for 2), reject it to accept course 2?

Most unis will be fine with you amending your acceptance from one course to another.
If you did get an offer for course 1, they would usually advise you if there were any acceptance or deposit deadlines. At which point it's usually best to advise them that you are awaiting a decision regarding another course at the same uni, and they can advise if ther is any wiggle room.
