Engineering Degree Apprenticeships 2025

Hi,

I just finished year 12 and started researching degree apprenticeships for engineering (Mainly between Mechanical, Manufacturing and Aerospace). I am currently interested in the JLR APEP apprenticeship and want to know what should I do from now on to maximise my chance of getting accepted into JLR.

If there are any other engineering companies that do degree apprenticeships please let me know. I would preferably like the company to be a car manufacturing group like JLR, Rolls-Royce and BMW Group but I do not mind other companies e.g Airbus. I would just rather go down the degree apprenticeship route rather than the traditional University route.

If you could also send some links that show how to make a CV/personal statement for aspiring engineering degree apprentices then please send it.

No worries, here are some of the resources which you were looking for. For reference, I got 8 degree apprenticeship offers including engineering at JLR and electrical engineering at Rolls-Royce. I also got most of the way through the BMW stage before I pulled out because I didn't need it anymore. Point is, I can definitely help you out.

Here's a checklist of 5 things I'd recommend you do over the next few months to stand out as a candidate and maximise your chances of getting into a degree apprenticeship - https://youtu.be/gcKZMLmqUsw

Here's a FULL GUIDE on how to write a CV for a degree apprenticeship - https://youtu.be/mBDZJMTmUc0?si=t0xzcI01QS1g2YnS

As well as the exact CV I used to get 8 degree apprenticeship offers (I think you'll find this one very useful) - https://sumptuous-book-021.notion.site/SAMPLE-CV-88817e9826664561be5a50f1e113b68a?pvs=4

If you want to talk more about how to get into JLR, drop me a DM and we can chat there.

Hope that helps you.

Hey, I've only recently decided I wanted to do a degree apprenticeship related to engineering so I haven't got much experience to put on my CV. What do you think I should do next if I want to go down this path? I'm going into y13 this year.

Work experience and courses. If you're in Year 13, I'd recommend you follow this exact roadmap - https://youtu.be/BqLVoki4zrM?si=j91GVFCPXPHG03Cz
