a level maths or a level further maths ??

long story short, i got a 9 in regular maths and an 8 in further maths at GCSE. i was originally only considering the normal a level maths but when i enrolled at college today i was strongly advised to consider fast track/further (Providing 2 a levels at the end of the 2 years). My grades are good, but i really don't think im up to it. i really enjoy maths and it is something that comes quite naturally to me but i never considered myself smart enough to do it: any advice ?

It's worth doing but depends on what degrees you want to do in the future in uni, if you want to go to uni.

If you're looking for a degree in anything engineering or maths related, further maths is a huge asset. Also if your college offers the opportunity to take more AS levels and drop one (so you still end up with 2 a levels) that's good as you can drop further maths if you don't like it.

i think this is where my problem lies in terms of deciding if it's worth taking further maths or not; i have no solid idea of what i'd like to do in the future or even degree wise. Due to this, for now, i think im just trying to keep my options open.

no idea on which degree i'd like to do or anything about what i'd like to do in the future except an interest in medicine (i find it so fascinating but the hs, student debt etc are off putting). im taking biology, chemistry and of course either the further maths or maths a level.
