Second offence academic misconduct- uni of Leeds

I recently received communication from my university stating that due to an academic misconduct case (specifically the use of AI tools), I won't be able to progress to my third year until my case is reviewed by the Committee on Applications. This is my second offence, but I have severe mitigating circumstances that I submitted as part of the case. Unfortunately, I've been informed that the waiting time for the review is around six months, and during this period, I may need to become an External Student, which would affect my visa and ability to remain in the UK.
