English literature essay

Hi could someone mark one of my paragraphs for gcse English literature Macbeth.
In the play Macbeth, Banquo appears to be a character who initially seems to show a good understanding of the witches. However, as the play develops, is he like many other characters a confused victim of the 3 weird sisters? This can be argued when he describes them as “the instruments of darkness tell us the truths”.The use of a metaphor is very effective here as it emphasizes the evil nature of the witches. This is because their “darkness” is not targeted at 1 individual just how darkness spreads so does the evil of the witches.Furthermore the idea of the witches spreading darkness can be linked to them destroying and dissolving any good, any hope and any positivity that exists in the lives of the characters;similar to how darkness destroys light. When we zoom in to the noun “instruments”. The confusion of banquo seems to come through even more. He seems to believe just like you play an instrument the witches will play the characters in the play. However he does nothing about this. Is it because he underestimates these women? Therefore it is clear to see, that banquo as a character does appear to have a good grasp on the evil nature of the witches. However he lacks effort in doing anything about it. This forces the audience to ponder if he underestimated the power of the supernatural.

hi, so not sure about the question. but this paragraph is very good, i like the way you have explored the quote in much depth. also the vocab is excellent. here are some feedback
can u give an evidence as in a event or a quote to support - "appears to be a character who initially seems to show a good understanding of the witches"
also though he is confused, he is sure they are evil as he confesses to god - "i dreamdt of the three weird sisters last night" - here is rejecting the temptation and resisting evil, perhaps a moral message by Shakespeare? compare this to macbeths hideous nature - "stars hide your fires". draw upon the biblical connotations of temptation for AO3.

I put it on Tilf website and it gave me this :

Paragraphs Feedback
The introduction sets up the essay's argument but could be clearer in stating Banquo's recognition and response to the supernatural. The thesis is somewhat ambiguous.
The analysis of the metaphor 'instruments of darkness' is insightful and demonstrates an understanding of the witches' evil nature. However, the explanation could be more concise and focused.
The discussion of Banquo's confusion and his lack of action against the witches is relevant but could be more developed. The essay raises important questions but does not fully explore them.

What Went Well
The essay shows a good understanding of Banquo's character and his recognition of the witches' evil nature. The use of textual evidence is effective in supporting the analysis.

Even Better If
The essay would benefit from a clearer structure and more developed arguments. Each point should be more thoroughly explored, and the conclusion should tie the arguments together more effectively.

Overall Feedback
The essay demonstrates a clear understanding of Banquo's recognition of the supernatural influences in Macbeth. However, the analysis lacks depth and could be more focused. The structure could be improved to provide a more coherent argument.

If you gave me the question and full essay it would be more accurate. But you can just put it yourself on Tilf website directly if you prefer

Hiii, a grade 8 (2 marks off a 9) student here, that apragraph is lovely but i need more A04 (contextual) and more analysis, remember DO NOT RETERATE THE PLAY,instead use key phrases and words and really hammer home your ideas and analysis and remeber its english, write whatever you want as long as you can justify it,there is no limit, let your creativity come through (this essay doesnt show that in my opinon, its good but doesnt show your analysis)
