I am 18 years old. I cannot partake in apprenticeships because I haven’t lived in the uk for up to 3 years. I have a gcse equivalent what go I do?

Most places that accept people for Access courses tend to require applicants to be at least 19 by the time they start their course. Finding a college that offers science related Access courses is fairly easy; you typically can find at least one adult college (not 6th form college) in a local town or city. You're not short on options.

Also for medicine, you would need to check with undergrad admissions of each university that you want to apply to whether they would accept your qualification as a number of them don't.

Where possible, I would try to do A Levels with the practical assessments for the science subjects (Biology and Chemistry ideally). However, if this is too expensive to do privately or is not feasible, then Access would be your next best option.

The typical type of content you should have in your Access course is at least 15 credits in biology and at least 15 in chemistry. Anything less in both subjects and you would have a hard time getting onto a degree in medicine.
