Open university modules

I am registered on the BA (HONS) English language and literature course and have to choose my modules, I chose the two compulsory modules for stage 1 however it won’t let me choose them for stage 2 and 3. It’s part time so does that mean I can only do one 60 credit compulsory module at a time for stage 1.

Hi,

I'm studying Biology at Open University. You can only choose 120 credits per year, so for this year you'll be allowed to choose only stage 1 modules, then next year, you can choose stage 2 modules, and so on.
Hope this makes sense.

Is this part time or full time. I’m doing part time which is 6 years I believe so is it still 120 credits per year

I'm doing full-time which is 120 credits per year. Part-time would be 60 credits per year

Hey there @Britt56 I hope you are well!😀

In relation to your modules, I think that it’s not something to majorly worry or concern yourself about. The best thing to do is to call up the University directly around the matter if it’s a predominant issue. However, normally you would just pick your further stage modules when you move onto the next year.

Also, I would argue that it’s better that you should pick them at a later date. By doing this, you have more experience in your course and you may make a better decision down the line.

I hope this helps!

Depends also if there are pre-requisits that you need to do first.
