They were part Scottish though, weren't they?
I wouldn't count them as a British band though.

Though members of AC/DC have changed several times over the ages, the following list shows the band members and their nationalities:

Angus Young: Scottish (1973 - present)
Malcolm Young: Scottish (1973 - present)
Brian Johnson: English (1980 - present)
Cliff Williams: English (1977 - present)
    Phil Rudd: Australian (1975 - 1983, 1994 - present)
    Bon Scott: Scottish (1974 - 1980)
    Mark Evans: Australian (1975 - 1977)
    Simon Wright: English (1983 - 1989)
    Chris Slade: Welsh (1983 - 1994)
    Dave Evans: Welsh (1974)
    George Young: Scottish

So are they not a British band?

They were formed in Australia (apparently). So no.

So? They're a Britsh band and only a stubborn fool would continue to argue otherwise.

Rather ironic comment considering that despite the fact I'd presented you with the information that all AC/DC members bar two were British you simply disagreed out of hand.

I didn't disagree out of hand. I put forth the fact they were formed in Australia, thus making them an Australian band, just like U2, despite being half English in band content, are an Irish band having been formed in Ireland. If you want to classify their nationality differently, fine, but it does not make me a "stubborn fool" for classifying them as, as they are often referred to, an Australian band.

    Muse got best live act
and I saw them live
Muse thoroughly deserve Best Live Act. And as for the rest of the awards, Joss Stone should've pissed on the competition but that's commercialism for you.... seen Franz live and they're absolutely awful so no shockers there ... and what on earth was Will Young doing in the "Best Songs of Last 25 years" category???
