Are my gcse grades good enough to get into medicine?

I recently got 8887777766 for my gcses, and I'm quite disappointed because I got no 9's and quite low grades :frown: I know medicine is really competitive, but I hope I still have a chance to get into med school. I'm also taking biology, chemistry, and maths for a levels
It's important to be strategic when you apply, same as for everybody else.

You will then need your A level predicted and your UCAT to help identify your best strategic choices. The higher these are the widest range of choice you will have.

There is nothing in your GcSEs that suggests you shouldn't be able to apply for med. So don't worry 😉

Look for work experience in your Y12 so that you dont lose on the Universities which places emphasis on WEX.
Ye they are good enough ibr but just apply strategically and dont apply to med schools that put heavy emphasis on gcses, eg kings oxford leicester newcastle nottingham

Do you think if I got high UCAT and predicted grades with good work experience/extracurriculars, ect, I could still get into KCL, for example?

Yes you can. I had similar GCSE grades and I got into programmes in UCL and kings to help get into medicine. Also I know people who have similar GCSE grades and they got into similar science courses. Your A levels are good too, you can still get in. Good luck with your application!
