BTEC National Foundation Diploma in Applied Science (Medical)

In order for me to go to uni I need 3 alevels and the course I am doing right now is applied science foundation diploma which is only 2 alevels in order for me to pursue diagnostic radiography in uni I need to get a ddm and currently I only have a dd so I am not really sure what to do and how I am going to do an extended diploma. Is there any way I can get into uni without an extended diploma and just with my foundation diploma aside with my English and maths gcse?

A Foundation Diploma is actually the equivalent of 1.5 A levels. It's the Diploma which is the equivalent of two. The fact that you say that your grade is DD suggests that you might have actually taken the Diploma, so do double-check. (Grades in the Foundation Diploma contain a single letter, and in the Diploma contain two letters.)

If you're not sure, just list the units you've done and we'll be able to tell you whether they match the Foundation Diploma or the Diploma.

Although it's theoretically possible to get into some courses at some universities with just a Diploma (or even just a Foundation Diploma), your choices will be very limited - and Diagnostic Radiography would almost certainly be off the table.

BTECs can be "topped-up", so you can simply do more units to top-up your current BTEC (be it the Foundation Diploma or the Diploma) into the Extended Diploma you need. Talk to your school or college to see if they offer BTEC top-ups.
