Student Finance not doing their job, can anyone help?

I applied to Student Finance England for a loan and they said they'd give me an update by the 26th and it sat like that for about 2 weeks. They've received everything they need and there is nothing else I can do for my application. Since sending everything needed, in the 2 weeks, they've done nothing with my application and I've called them, but was told that calling can delay my application. My uni said that they need to know that the loan is approved by the 29th or my place on the course may not go through, can anyone hlep me with this, I am getting quite worried? Thanks

Can't help much but commenting because I'm in a similar situation. My student maintenance loan for my rent ect was approved but I can't see anywhere anything about my tuition fee loan? I can't see any evidence of it anywhere and I'm getting worried, what if it didn't go through and it's too late to apply for it. No one in my family has ever been to uni and we definitely don't have the money to pay £9250 up front

I have sorted it with my uni and SFE. The uni said to call them, so I did, was put on hold for half an hour and told to wait until the 3rd of Sept. SFE sucks.

What happened... did it get sorted out on 3rd september??
