English Literature A-Level Coursework

I am currently deciding which books to compare for my English literature coursework (Edexcel exam board), I'm thinking of doing the book 'Normal People' but I have no idea if this book will be allowed to study or what book I could compare it with—wandering if anybody's got any ideas?

For your English literature coursework with Edexcel, "Normal People" by Sally Rooney is a contemporary novel that might not be on the Edexcel set list, so it's important to check with your teacher or the exam board to confirm if it's an approved text. If it's allowed, you could consider comparing it with another modern or classic text that explores similar themes, such as:

1.

"Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro for themes of identity and relationships.

2.

"The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger for themes of adolescence and personal development.

3.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee for themes of social and personal issues.

Always ensure the texts you choose align with the coursework requirements and themes you need to explore.

It’s a lot like GCSE English literature in terms of revision, analysis etc. English language has creative writing. Choose the one you enjoy
