Probation period at Waitrose

Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could help me.

Recently I got a job at Waitrose and I am working on the weekends. I have read about the probation period and I am really worried about it.

Does anyone know what it is about and if I should worry about it.

Thank you

Hi! Congratulations on your new job at Waitrose! The probation period is a trial phase at the start of your employment, usually lasting a few months. During this time, both you and your employer assess if the job is a good fit. It’s normal to feel worried, but it’s mainly about making sure you’re comfortable and meeting job expectations. Focus on doing your best, learning the role, and asking for feedback. If you have concerns, it’s okay to discuss them with your manager. Most people get through probation without issues, so try to stay positive and use this time to show your skills and dedication.
