Alevel Resit advice

Hello everyone, I received my A-level results 2weeks ago and received grades that I am not particularly proud of. I was predicted A*AA and ended up with BBD in the real thing. I did get into my firm choice, the University of Exeter, however, I was offered an alternative course from LLB Law at the main Streatham campus to LLB Law with Business at the Penryn campus in Cornwall. I am extremely grateful to even have been offered this course in the first place, however, I can't help but feel disappointed. I feel like I can do much better if I retook the exams as I have identified where I went wrong the first time - Furthermore, the new location just isn't for me, I love the hustle and bustle with lots of things to do in a big city like London. Then there's the issue of the university being so far away from everything - It's an 8 to 9 hour journey to my house via public transport so I can't help but worry that I'd feel isolated if I went there. If I were to retake, I'd consider applying to a different course as the universities I am interested in don't accept resits for Law. Despite all of this, a part of me just wants to go to the uni so I can just get it over with and finally be independent, perhaps I can go somewhere else for my masters.
I just need some advice as I am so split on what to do.
Thats a tough choice you will have to make, it really depends how much you want to do law in that case. Personally, i love law and would take the offer. However if you care about the uni lifestyle, i'd consider changing course. I feel like retaking a-levels is a waste of time and quite expensive so i wouldn't do that. I know it must be really frustrating for you to drop so many grades, especially as law is so competitive. Good luck and make sure you chose the option that makes YOU happy!

Thank you for the response! Yeah I'm also quite worried about the costs of retaking and the fact that I'd have to wait a whole year before going to uni - that's the main thing that makes me skeptical about resitting - It's just difficult because part of me is so sure I can power through the resit year and the other half just wants to go on to the next phase of my life now
Ahahah yeah, I have a friend that took a gap year and he didn't regret it. He just took his time to find what course was right for him. I'm sure if you took a year off you could resit and find out what course is right for you, I have no doubt you could ace your exams the second time around. My friend also got a part time job which was really good pay, night shift supermarket jobs 🙌
