Why do I get so many older girls but none my age

Hi, I’m a graduate in my early twenties and downloaded tinder/hinge etc.

I never get any matches with girls 18-22 years old who are similar age to me. They always reject my profile.

However, for some reason I match with EVERY older girl, even if she’s incredibly good looking and above my league (for appearance) I still somehow match with them. Usually they are 28-33 years old. So quite a bit older.

There are some older girls I see on the dating apps who are so beautiful I am like woah they should be a model, and I swipe right to them and then a few days later I get a notification that I’ve matched with them and we start talking and we go on dates in real life but it never really works out because we are at different life stages (they want a really serious relationship and settle but I’m still young and figuring my life out) so I respectfully end it as I don’t want to waste their time. So I want to find girls who are similar age as me so we are on similar life stages.

But why can’t I find girls younger that are a similar age to me? Do younger girls vs older girls have different types in what they’re looking for?

At first I thought this meant I’m ugly? But why would the older really beautiful girls still match with me if im ugly? Is there anything I can do to make my profile have more success with girls my age?

Maybe specifiy on your page that you're looking by for a serious relationship?
I'm assuming the ones you've matched with so far may not want to settle as you may want to.
Maybe give it a bit more time.

I mean I’m 18 this month, I think most my age (and people like myself who are more introverted and that) usually look for boys who are similar, without making themselves too out there, it depends who you’re looking for
