Durham college flatmates
hello! i am going to Durham this year and i know lots of my friends going to different unis who were told who their flatmates will be and have been able to get in contact with them. do we get to find this out before we go too or is it just not a thing durham does?

Hiya,
To my knowledge, contact details are usually given out if you've been assigned a roommate and that also depends on whether the roommate has consented to having her contact info being used. Other than that, you won't know who your flat mates are until you get there and there isn't an official way via Durham University to do so either. Some students are creating freshers group chats for specific colleges (this is not made by the University or college) so if you're wanting to get to know who might be living in college with you, you can join those groups 🙂

You can find flatmates on Facebook if your uni has accommodation or just regular uni page
