To all the new year 11s (including me) lets all write our grades that we want to achieve for gcse’s and lets motivate each other to do the best we can!!🙌
grades i want:
maths - 6
english language - 8
english literature - 8
french - 7
history - 6
RE - 8
science - 7/8
these are just my realistic grades that i want, im not going to write smth like grade 9s for everything since i know i didn’t do too well on my year 10 mocks, but these grades are still good and as long as i pass everything and get at least a grade 5 in maths i’ll be fine either way

Grades i got in yr 10 mocks
science 55
English 55
Maths 4 (7 marks off a 5)
Geography 6
Spanish 5 (foundation..higher next time)
German 4 (i mark off a 5)
Art 3 (i hate art and my art is bad)
I would love 7s , 8s and 9s… but im writing what i would need for sixth form subjects
Minimum 40 points required for admission to sixth form
Most preferred subject not final decision
Biology- grade 66 in combined science , 6 in maths and 5 in English language
Psychology- grade 6 in humanities subjects (geography) , if not taken at gcse must grade 5 in English language and grade 5 in science or maths
Anyone know how gcse points work? Like the 40 points thing?
Spanish- grade 6 in Spanish
German - grade 7 in German..

just add up all of your grades together and those are the amount you points you have! for combined you would count the two of your grades (eg : if my grade was 7-6 , i would have 13 gcse science points).

And for english and maths u double ur points eg for maths if u get 8 then it counts as 16 points
