Physics - 7 vs 8/9

Maths - 6 - 8

What I think I’ll get in November mocks is: 9,8,9,9,9,8,8,8,7? (Very optimistic)

hii ye sure. I did join the gc the other person made it wasn't too good tbf more socialising than anything if that's what u want. Ur grades r great btw

im looking for someone who seriously wants to study. i am not looking for socialising.

english literature - 8
french - 7
history - 6
RE - 8

these are just my realistic grades that i want, im not going to write smth like grade 9s for everything since i know i didn’t do too well on my year 10 mocks, but these grades are still good and as long as i pass everything and get at least a grade 5 in maths i’ll be fine either way :smile:

Yr 10 mock grades:

Maths: 9
Combined science (but in year 11 I'm doing triple): 8-8
English lit: 8
English lang: 6
Geography: 6
Comp science: 6
Language: 6
RS: 6

What I'd love to achieve by end of yr 11:

Maths: 9
Biology: 8 or 9
Chemistry: 9
Physics: more than happy with an 8
English lit: very happy with an 8 but open to getting a 9!
English lang: 7 or 8 (I just need to do a well enough to get me into a good sixth form 😭)
Geography: 7 or 8
Comp science: 8 but hoping to get 9 with more practice
Language: 7
RS: 8 (I actually struggle with RS but I've massively changed my approach to revising for it so hopefully it works)

As someone who got 8 in both lang and lit this year, practice papers are amazing, but they only properly work with other study methods! A favourite of mine for lit was to have a friend quiz me on a set of flashcards (e.g. Banquo in Macbeth, fear in J&H), wait an hour & then complete a practice question on that topic. It's just a nice easy method to combine 2 different study methods.

To be honest, for lang the biggest issue was time running away from me in my mocks, so instead of doing timed papers, I did timed readings & question answers. For example, I'd have to try to find 10 different techniques in a sample text in 5 minutes, or I'd set a 10 minute timer and do one question instead of the full hour forty five for the whole paper. It just helps with making sure you don't go over in one question and have too little time for another.

Tbh I'm being pretty hopeful as it is, I'm really just trying to get everything above a five especially maths, my computer studies and maths grade was already lowered as we didn't have any year 11 questions cut out. Really just stuck working on revising rn.
