Maintanence loan- Student Finance
Hi, I am hoping to start University this september. I am going to Kingston University and was just wondering if i need to apply for the maintanence loan??.
I know it would be useful but in the end it would be added to the amount i have to pay back alongisde my tuition fees when i finish uni.
My uni expenses would not include accomodation since i will be commuting to uni from my home and i can either take the bus or the national rail, which alrhough will cost more i was gonna get the railcard from santander to help with that.And this is gonna be like my main expenses.
I geuss i may also need to buy textbooks but im not sure if i need to for computer science.
Other expenses could include food from fastfood shops but im not too fussed about that, or maybe a new laptop but im honestly not sure.
So any help/ thoughts would be great on if i do need the maintanence loan or not.

Everyone's financial situation is different, your parents may support you for buying books, you may have a part time job, the idea of taking out a maintenance loan at such a high rate is a major LiFE RED FLAG and a pathway to debt. You'll only buy things you don't need and blow it then spend the rest of you life paying it back. Find another solution plz
