ahh ok! i actually made some flashcards for all the tenses i’ve learnt so far but it’s gonna take a while for me to memorise all the endings :frown: i haven’t got my textbook yet, but when i do i’ll make sure to focus on grammar, i’m not too bad at vocab because i do duolingo often - whilst i think its good for vocab, it’s grammar isn’t too fab loll.

Yess I agree with duolingo! You'll get there with the endings don't worry! It's honestly just all about practice 🙂

mhm trying go through my flashcards every once in a while, can't afford to fail Spanish gcse loll
yeaa and I find it kind of sad that I don't have any 'chill' lessons anymore where I don't have to actually put effort in - and then right after GCSE's is A levels 🥲

gyg entry - week #1 ✮⋆˙

i’m going to try and post one every week and update you about the main details

friday: went well! i was sucking up to my tech and business teachers loll. i got SO much tech homework tho - i spent my whole evening doing it and still didn’t finish.

saturday: finished off my tech hw + did a bunch of bio revision (i had biology on friday, and it was a recap of some holiday hw we got). i did the human and biodiversity sorta topic - i was able to make some notes and flashcards.

sunday: did like 1 or 2 bio questions, couldn’t do much bc i spent the whole day away at a family friend’s house.

soo that’s my first week of school (if you’re wondering where thursday went, i already wrote an update for that ) for a lot of the subjects it was mostly just introductions, so not much to revise - for bio tho i was kinda revising everything i did in the summer holidays, so normally i don’t think i’ll revise that much for one subject.

those two days were kinda trial days - i’m terrified to see how next week goes 😭

Sounds like a good start! Already making notes and doing practice questions. It's good to keep a good work/life balance now so you aren't unnecessarily and unhealthily isolated from others, and the sooner you get into that routine of work and revision, the better you will be at finding that time anyway. I don't think next week should scare you, it seems like you are ready to make notes and revise stuff that comes up. Hope next week goes well!

tysm!! yea I'm trying to get used to being good at time-management, so I don't waste time unnecessarily. so far into the week it's been the same as last week tbh, before the summer holidays I thought I would revise EVERY subject I had that day, but I've kinda learnt that isn't necessary at all loll

I kinda spoiled the ending for myself, and I absolutely hate spoilers so I was quite upset loll - but now I've finished the second book, and I have absolutely no knowledge abt third book so I'm really excited to read it! tysm for the recs tho - also have you read orbiting jupiter? it's one of my all time favourite books (I think mostly bc it has a lot of meaning to me, since it was my first exposure to that kinda stuff), and I highly recommend it

gyg entry - week 2 ✮⋆˙

monday - tbh all I did was make some notes on river processes for geography - I was gonna make a couple of spanish grammar points but I cba bc I mean it was kind of the basics and I wanna learn to not make notes of absolutely everything 😭 but I did revise it a bit bc I had a mini test the next day
tuesday - wrote a couple notes on business and that's basically it loll
wednesday - got like zero time but I did an english essay on the witches in macbeth for homework
thursday - wrote some notes on the reactions of acids for chemistry - this was soo helpful I acc feel like I understand it now. also got so much physics hw ughh
friday - did absolutely NOTHING even though I got like a ton of homework
saturday - did friday's homework 😕 - business, maths and english, took me the whole day
sunday - during the week there was some things I didn't fully understand so I went through them, I did physics (forces, which is acc one of my fav topics so idk why im complaining) and geography for god's sake. also ATTEMPTED to memorise a couple quotes from maccbeth from a page of 43 for hw

that's week 2 🙂 started procrastinating towards the end of the weekdays but caught up during saturday and sunday - my whole plan thing I had at the beginning of this gyg hasn't really work out that well yet but I'm hoping to kind of get into the habit ig

anywayss how did your week go? would love to know xx
