Would this next academic year, make your course extended? If so wouldn't your national diploma get overruled? But if she said so, then that's good! I didnt know there were specific top up courses, I might look into it; how did you find them? And im sure you'll jump unto 100+. Especially due to ur epq, if you do one you'll be in the mid 100s.
OKOK, so you're on track; that's amazing.
And do what you like and are compassionate about. you don't have to worry about what you want to do after your undergrad. Just make sure your degree has a good scope and that it's something that'll have multiple options after you finish your undergrad, and then you have so much space for your masters. So you're applying for computer science now?
yeah, a lot of them are low 100 and high 90's. not bad tbh.
Thankyou!
and I've always been adamant on what I want to do and I still am,because I want to become a psychologist. I've not changed my career pathway. im just looking into ways, I can get to that career you know. I want to do the most effecient and worthwhile undergrad course. ive been talking to my career advisor for the past 3 years, I've got my plan, well planned. but now just want to exhaust all my options, before I decide.

They let me in on a rare occasion that’s why I think but yeah figure out what you want to do and weigh out your options
That’s good that they let you in. I would look into a top up too, but how did you find yours? And it’ll only go up. It can’t go down, so up is the way for the points to go. So we’re not losing out at all, we’re only gaining. And a little bit of more hard work will get us where we want to be. So no stressors tbh, just a little stressing moment 😭😭 that I had. It’s over now lmfao
And yeah our qualifications would go up. So worth it like I said. And university options become more enhanced. But yes, all the best’ lmk how it goes.

Ahhh okay okay igy, I thought it was like an optional scheme. And I did, they agreed and then they got a new manager and she changed the whole like scenario. But anywho, it’s fine tbh. Things happen for a reason, over the whole waiting on them now

Are you talking about the whole application or just the personal statement part because I haven’t started the new one yet either 😭 apparently they’re being scrapped anyways so

Yeah try and wait for a response from them or keep trying I went to my college and I explained that I was planning on going to university this year but I decided to change my mind for next year so I can get my extended diploma and I know I can do better and we have time

Yeah true, apparently my college and I’ve seen online that they’re being scrapped if you search up for 2025 applicants they’ll be apparently be replaced with just three or so questions asking about you. Not sure yet 🤷

1. Isn’t that for 2025 applicants… so like the ones who start in 2026. Were 2024 applications who start in 2025. What google says “UCAS has announced that personal statements will be changing. This will be introduced in September 2025 for students applying for 2026 entry”
2. Yeah and I tried my best, I did all the necessary assignments and everything to be moved up: but they didn’t. And I don’t want to rely on them and then they change their minds again. So I’d rather be safe than sorry, and I’d rather do what I can. Because although they said they’ll try move me up in dec, I don’t wanna take the risk. As I don’t want to waste the opportunity. Even the teachers said they tried to fight my case. And they took it as high up as they could, but what’s meant to be, will be. ☺️

Ohh ok yeah I just checked on UCAS and it says that my college thinks it’s this year but I also thought that as well for 2025 but it’s not I guess. Yeah keep persisting and speak to the advisor and your teachers for any guidance and help to try as hard as possible to boost your qualifications

Yeah would’ve made things more easier but oh well, you’ve got a background so yk what to do now anyways. So you got this, and yeah I have: now I just got execute it. So it’ll be more than just okay. And I’m confident with what I’m applying for now too. You come to a conclusion yet?

Oh nice! What grades did you get and did they require a level maths? Or do they need GCSEs higher than a 4 for maths? For any top unis which university do you go?

If you don’t mind me asking? 😅
