Potential places at the University of Liverpool

Hey everyone,

I'm an international student applying from Australia and I did an interview with the University of Liverpool in Feb 2024, for which I was unsuccessful in gaining an offer during the main rounds (at the end of March). I was, however, placed on a waiting list (as I expressed my interest for a potential place) - I received the following email informing me that they couldn't offer me a place during this round either:

"Thank you for expressing an interest in a place on the A100 medicine programme at The University of Liverpool. The performance of the majority of applicants who expressed an interest in available places was of an exceedingly high standard and we are sorry to confirm that we are unable to make an A100 place available to you for entry in 2024. As such we would advise you to explore other options of interest that may be available to you at this time. We will keep your details on file and, in the unlikely event that the situation changes, we may contact you."

I was wondering if anyone knows how likely it will be for the University of Liverpool to send out any further invites before their academic year starts. Does anyone know if this has happened in the previous years?

Thank you,

Hi. It is very unlikely I would think at this stage I am afraid.

If interested in applying for medicine in the UK I would arrange to resit your UCAT and plan on applying again next cycle.

Good luck.
