Is A level psychology, history and media a good subject combination?

Is media a respected A level at good universities? What is the a level like and is it worth taking? My exam board for media is OCR. Do unis view it as a ‘soft’ subject? If they do does it still work well with psychology and history?

I feel that if it is an easier subject then I can excel in it and get an A*/A , so do good unis tend to care more about the grades and ucas points rather than the actual a level subject?

I was considering criminology but I’ve seen a lot of slander on here and that it’s not accepted at some unis because it’s not an a level.

I would say its worth taking if you have an interest in Media, but it isn't typically a subject that uni's 'want' if that make sense. The prefer more conventional (maths, english, sciencies, geog, history etc) subjects generally, but if the uni you want to apply to/course you want isn't hugely competitive then they likely don't care, as long as you have the grades

At the moment, I want to go to dance college after sixth form - you don’t need to do a level dance specifically, the requirements are either gcses or ucas points depending on the course and i’ve already been dancing outside of school for years (i have chosen it as one of my a level options right now but i’m considering changing it to media).

One of the reasons why i’m doing a levels is so I have the option to go to uni if I want to, so I’m thinking of taking media as an a level instead of dance which is a btec diploma - I’ll have 3 a levels instead of 2 a levels and a btec (which will look better if i wanted to go to uni I presume).

Have you done media before and if so how did you find it?
