econ at top uni

would not taking further maths disadvantage me when applying to a russel group uni (not oxbridge, LSE or warwick) to study econ? i’m currently taking maths, econ and bio
I don't think there's any specific requirements but if another candidate did pick further maths they would most likely be at an advantage. Unless your personal statement/extracurriculars are REALLY good, if you plan on studying plain economics as an undergrad degree, add maths is preferred.

Do the universities in which you're interested require or even prefer FM? If not, you're fine.

The top Universities that youve mentioned would require Further Maths to take on Economics but good Russell Group Unis (Nottingham, Exeter, Bristol etc..) do not require FM
