Is it too late to join sixth form?

I left secondary school in 2024 and I really want to go sixth form but ppl keep telling me I have no chance if going

isn't there less than 48 hours until schools start again? how would you join a 6th form in less than 48 hours?

There is something called the September guarantee which promises everyomne a place.

Try ringing local schools on Monday onwards

It probably depends on the sixth form though. OP has definitely ruled out a lot of options by leaving it this long to sign up to a school, and could end up at a really bad one

being realistic is helpful though. I know people who've been in this situation, and honestly the most common thing thats happened to them is that they've had to be homeschooled or repeat a year

It's a GUARANTEE - so a place will be offered - if they chose not to accept that's down to them. I know some good schools with spaces in some subjects.

How do you know? As I said it depends on the subjects and I know a few good schools with places.

But they didn't let me join sixth form when I first enrolled because my entry requirements weren't good enough 😔

The LA have to find you a place - have you rung all the local schools and colleges?
