UCAT Scores

Hi,
I recently did my UCAT and I received 2480 and B1. My A Levels predicted are AAA for Bio, Chem and Maths. My GCSEs are 99 (Bio and Chem), 888888 (Physics, Maths, Socio, History, Spanish and English Lit) and 7 (English Lang). I'm really scared as my UCAT is too low. Is it still worth applying to med as I've always wanted to be a doctor? Can I get outside opinion about whether still to apply please; and if so which unis are a good option for me?? I wanted to apply to Nottingham as I first option but I'm scared as my VR isn't good.

(also I'm not sure if I'm contextual)

Your UCAT isn’t that low, the deciles haven’t been released yet for this year but it’ll probably be between 4th and 5th percentile, which isn’t that bad.
I would suggest looking at universities outside of London as London unis ask for high UCATs and are extremely competitive. Check what unis don’t heavily rely on the UCAT or have low requirements (I don’t know which unis off the top of my head but do some research on that!)
Contextual offers may help with grades but check if you fall into that category for each uni you want to apply to.
Apply for a 5th option that you would be happy to do if you didn’t get into medicine (don’t just choose biomed for the sake of it).
I wish you the best of luck in your application!!

I’m in the same position I got the same ucat and grades as you, where can I apply?

I have the same score but got an AAB offer for Exeter through a program. Is it possible to sit an interview as they guarantee one despite. Saying it’s not used on their selection process to interview. It’s the scholars program but I’m not sure if it’s worth applying to anywhere as my ucat isn’t good enough for anything.. my GCSEs are alright too
