PwC Flying start degree apprenticehips 2025 application guide

Hey Guys I just finished A-Levels with A*AA in Computer Science, Maths and Physics. I have a few software projects in my portfolio and am taking a gap year to reapply to universities and degree apprenticeships.

I know a couple of people who got into the PwC Technology Degree Apprenticeship and need some help/advice on the application process and interview questions etc.

At the moment, my work experience consists of sales assistant at Specsavers (1 Yr), Software Eng. Work Experience at MBDA (1 week), lifeguarding and sales at a leisure centre (1Yr), and now I currently have a full-time position as a tech recruiter, which I plan to quit by September 2025.

With my full-time job, it's going to be difficult to find time to do work experience but I am taking many online certifications and courses in my free hours.
The primary reason I am interested in PwC's degree apprenticeship is their study-first model, where I can go to uni full time and experience 'uni life', and work during the summer in London and during 3rd year on placement. Does anybody know any other companies that offer something similar to this?

Thanks for your help again guys.

P.S. I've attached a link to my CV if anyone has any comments/improvements thanks.

Hi I wanted to ask about your cv, a lot of people say to keep it one page but your one is more than one page and I’ve been wanting to do more than one page cv but was told not too, did the length of your cv set you back ?

While 1 page is great, if you have genuinely got enough experience for more than 1 page then it's not actually a big issue. That said, the idea is to be clear and succinct so you don't need to put irrelevant experience or waffly, long sentences where clear, concise bullet points make the same point.

@Tariqjumaily had a quick scan of your CV it looks like you have a lot of great experience. My tips to improve would be the following:

Remove the "references available upon request" section as it takes up room and this is actually taken as a given for every application.

While the layout is clear and easy to read, there is also a lot of white space, lines running over by 1 or 2 words etc, and some wordy sentences. I reckon you could easily condense this to 2 pages which is more ideal than 3. The Certifications and Specsavers work experience sections would be good places to start

The personal summary should be exactly that - a summary - I would shorten this to a few clear sentences on who you are, your key experience and skills, and what you're looking for.

Finally, you have a lot of awesome sounding projects there but no visible links to a portfolio or evidence of them.

Hi, I've helped a bunch of people with their degree apprenticeship CVs and I've taken a look at yours. The number one thing I'd recommend would be changing the structure. A CV can be 2 pages maximum (not 3) and you want to ensure that the structure most effectively highlights your qualities, skills and experiences as a candidate.

The best structure would be -> Personal Statement, Education, Work Experience, Key Achievements

If you want, I can send over a copy of the CV which got me 8 degree apprenticeship offers. That will show you how to structure and how best to phrase things. Let me know if you'd be interested in that and I'll send over.
