BBC - enough for optom?

Hi so i sat my alevels this year and achieved BBC as my grades, i didn’t get into my firm choice uni as that was for pharmacy. I have no researched into doing optom and have done work experience and figured it is something i really will enjoy doing. I am thinking of taking a gap year and reapplying to unis for optometry with these grades, as retaking isn’t an option for me due to personal health reasons. What should i do.
