advanced higher english dissertation

hi, so im really stumped on what to do for my advanced higher english dissertation, i wanted to do dracula and carmilla while writing about the repression of women during the late 1800s but im not sure if that would be a good dissertation idea so im just looking for peoples opinions :smile:

hi! i’m also doing advanced english - and this sounds like such an interesting topic! i think the markers would be really enticed by it. i’m doing “the handmaids tale” and “oryx and crake” talking about the impact of unchecked government control

hey guys i’m doing my advanced higher english dissertation this year and all, but i’m not too sure what should i pick to write about. i was going to do frankistein and never let me go like kinda explore what humans are portrayed like. but now i really want to do it on poems but i have no clue what poems i should do well im doing sylvia plath for the literary study so i can’t pick that for the dissertation - i want something like her poems! do you have any recommendations or suggestions?
