Should I apply to oxford for medicine?

So i’m about to start year 13 and am going to be apply to university over the next month or so and have been considering oxford but just can’t decide if my stats are good enough?? I wanted to share my stats and get some advice as this is the first year that oxford are using UCAT, so I don’t really have anyone to compare myself to.
- Eight 9’s, two 8’s and one 7 at GCSE (Which would be considered 10 A* and 1 A at Oxford)
- Predicted A*A*A* in bio, chem & maths and received A in EPQ in a medicine relevant topic
- UCAT score of 3100 Band2, which would be roughly 98th percentile in prev years, but i don’t know the exact percentile yet as they won’t be released until late September
- Experience volunteering in a care home for the past year and 3 days work experience in a GP office
- Participated in the Cambridge Lucy Cavendish College Academic Attainment program where i completed and virtually presented an academic poster on a medicine related topic
Please let me know if you have any thoughts, and if not oxford where else I shoudl apply thanks so muchhh!!!

If you want to go to Oxford you should apply! You have good grades and good experience. When I applied I felt similarly, but if you don't try you won't know-s o I applied and to my surprise I got in! You clearly have an interest in medicine and plenty of evidence to prove it, so you should apply for anywhere you want to go, don't second guess yourself. Good luck

Just make sure your UCAS Personal Statement is 'stellar' and you prepare well for the interviews.

I wonder if you're also applying to Imperial, UCL, KCL and QMUL? 😧

Have you chosen an Oxford University college yet?

I am considering KCL / UCL but not too sure which one yet as I don’t know if I should apply to UCL as well as oxford and risk applying two very very competitive universities as i want to apply to Leicester as well which is also high in the rankings. In terms of oxford colleges i’ve only seen Balliol so far which i LOVED but i figure i should look around more before i decide so I'm going to go to an open day soon, also thanks for the link ill take a look at that!
