Who reads ucas personal statements?

Hey! So i'm applying to UK university to study Computer Science.
I was wondering who will be reading my personal statement once I send it to the unis. Will it be admission officers or subject specialists/teachers?

I need to know this so that i know the kind of language i should use. I don't want to use jargon if the person reading it won't even understand.
You write it for an academic to read.

Admissions staff may read it instead but they will know that subject/course and know what to look for - and btw many such staff have higher degrees and relevant PhDs, and substantial Admissions experience at numerous different Unis.
To be honest it varies from course to course. I score PS’s for a lot of subjects but am not an academic and don’t even have a Masters.

But broadly speaking it’ll be someone familiar with reading for that course, so the odd bit of jargon isn’t going to suddenly throw them off. Just make sure it’s readable and you’re not over complicating it to impress.

Hasn't your school given you guidance on this?

I'm an international student and students from my school don't really apply to UK universities.
