Maths Edexcel A level

Hi,
im doing Maths A level and i was trying to find book but then i realised there is codes such as M1, M2, S1 and S2
i was wondering what's the difference between S and M and which is better?

If this is edexcel (I'm assuming it is) then the codes refer to different modules. Codes with M are mechanics, S is statistics.

Which country are you in? These sound like the old modular texts.

Oh good to know

Schools in England shouldn't be using the old books now.

isnt that still Pure, Statistics and Mechanics?

Yes but different content. Look up the spec.

In the modular spec you could choose your two applied options e.g. S1 M1 or M1, D1 or D1, S1. Now the content is compulsory.
