Is parking at Salford University's car park worth it?

Hello, I am starting my first year at University of Salford and according to my general timetable most of my lectures are early in the morning so I think it would be too much of a hassle to commute by public transport. I am looking to use the car parking facilities, probably with a monthly or yearly car parking permit, but is it actually worth it?
By this I mean is it difficult to find spaces in the car park especially the one for the Frederick Rd campus? Just because, I am relatively new to driving and parking between 2 cars or even trying to navigate busy car parks gives me heart palpitations.
So, is it easy to find parking spaces?
Does the car park ever reach full capacity, and if so, at what time generally does it become full?
Any help would be appreciated, please and thank you!!!

Parking at the University of Salford, especially at the Frederick Road campus, can be competitive. The availability of spaces often depends on the time of day and the academic schedule. Generally, car parks may fill up during peak hours, typically in the morning when classes start.
For the Frederick Road campus, it's advisable to arrive early to secure a space. The car park might be less crowded if you arrive well before your first lecture. If you’re new to driving and parking, you might also want to consider using public transport for a while until you’re more comfortable with parking in busy areas.
Getting a monthly or yearly permit can be convenient and potentially cheaper than daily rates, but it’s good to weigh the cost against the ease of finding parking and your comfort level. Checking with the university's parking office for the latest information and possibly a visit to see the car park layout could also help.

Thank you so much for the quick reply
I know for a fact that taking the bus at certain hours has become just too uncomfortable for me so I think resorting to commuting via public transport will be the last resort.
I was wondering if i should get an annual bus pass as it is more cost effective than buying a bus pass for each term, however in that case I'd have to choose between the bus pass and parking :frown:
By the way, what time does the car park actually open?

Hello,

Firstly I would say this is an important question, especially if you are deciding to commute to university so well done for asking this and getting an answer to ease your nerves and get prepared for Uni life.

We would say that our car parks on Fredrick Road can get busier due to it being our Health campus, however do not worry if they are. If you find that the car park is full; all of our car parks are included in the parking permit for the year. So you should have lots of options across Peel Park and Fredrick Road campuses.

I do hope this helps ease your nerves,
