Saas funding(can’t apply for new loan message in portal)

I have recently applied for saas to study my undergrade degree at Edinburgh Napier, I am a late applicant and done my application at the end of August, however I’ve recently logged onto my portal and there’s now a message saying student loans company and saying that a new application can’t be done on my saas portal however my application is still being processed and is already sitting as being claimed so a tad unsure if it’s been rejected or not. I start in two weeks but I am very close to withdrawing altogether before I even started.

I’ve been working over summer I have a 0 hour contract so would probably just continue to work, spoke to saas this morning and they have told me it’s nothing to worry about coz my claim is sitting as claimed and it’s just a standard automatic message you get if your application is still needing to process, so it’s nothing to worry about it’s still needing to processed but also saas advised me I had 2 years left of funding to take and coz I am a care experienced student it gets processed differently.

Hi, i am in the same position!. I changed my course from UWS to GCU. Everything was awarded fine and showing up on the portal and then suddenly the cannot apply for a new student loan appears on my screen!. Did they say when it will be processed and did you have assessed status on your application with an award letter?

Hey, I'm in the exact same position with the care experienced application. Still waiting to hear from them and their customer service line is a joke - have you heard anything back yet about your application?

Yeah I did and they didn’t give me the tuition fees for this year so I decided just with withdraw altogether I have other finances and don’t need the headache for paying for the fees

Omg their service line is BAD, they’re so useless all they got to say is “we will get back to you within 28 days” like girl😭😭 but have you heard anything back so far?

Yeah I heard back from them and turns out I wasn’t entitled to the tuition fees this year so I’ve had to withdraw altogether because I can’t afford the fees and I don’t want a financial headache unless I have like a sugar daddy on standby I have no way of paying them lol
