My friend keeps staring at me whenever I’m not looking and it’s so weird

So basically I have a friend, I’m a girl and so is she. She’s been with multiple guys and she is definitely heterosexual. She always criticises me like oh ur hair is not fully straightened ur hair has this on it. Why are u wearing a dress? Or if I say this guy keeps looking at me she’s just like oh it’s definitely not you stop exaggerating. Like rude stuff like that.
But I’ve noticed that she keeps looking at me whenever I’m not looking and quickly looks away before I look at her back. My friend is in my maths class and I face the board but she is like on the left side but I can see her face clearly and so can she it’s like a weird table position whatever.

And any time I can do literally nothing she would just keep staring at me so much and the minute I look at her she quickly turns away at lightening speed.

If this was a guy I would know his motive but what the hell my own friend and she’s fake as hell and never compliments me anyway like what the hell does she want

she might be trying to find something else to critisise you on.

I don't think she's a friend honestly with the way she is behaving. I think she wants you to fit her image and style as a sense of trying to make you more like her. Confront her about it and tell her to stop-you should feel comfortable in a friendship, not wondering what they're doing and making you feel awkward.

Honestly like others have said she’s not your friend unfortunately. I had a ‘friend’ like this once. Sounds like she’s using you to make herself feel better and she probably has insecurity issues with herself. I think she’s probably a bit jealous of you hence the obsession and staring.
