Should man United banish Casemiro into the reserve team?

Casemiro appears to have left off where he finished last season, giving the ball away in dangerous areas of the pitch. He hasn't yet given away dangerous free kicks or penalties yet like he did last season, but it is only a matter of time, if he ever starts for them again. This is the worst run of performances l have seen from a United player, possibly ever. They have had players who have flopped badly in the short term (Massimo Taibi springs to mind) during the Ferguson era, but they would normally be dropped quite quickly, and removed from the team, and sold after 1-2 years. Michael Sylvestre was the only player that Ferguson kept for several years who flopped a lot in defence, although he was at times good going forward, which is probably why he lasted as long as he did.

Casemiro's legs are just gone, as is his confidence. If it was just his confidence that was shot then he might come back, but even if he was firing on all cylinders he wouldnt be up to it.

When will Utd learn that signing these finished ex superstars never works out?
Varane? Di Maria? Casemiro? Alexis Sanchez? Schweinsteiger? Ronaldo?
That's nearly £300m of player and all of them on £200k+ a week.

Possibly the worst run club in Europe atm, maybe even worse than Chelsea.
Everyone knew Utd would struggle post Fergie but this is beyond expectations.

I think you are referring to the management prior to the arrival of Sir Jim Radcliffe and co.

Varane was ok, but he was injury prone, and on too high a wage to justify keeping him unless he took a big paycut. Di Maria just didn't want to be at United, especially after his house got burgled. Ronaldo was a former United great, so it wasn't a big surprise that he came back, but after a season his aging body caught up with him. Schweinsteiger only cost £5 million, but he was always injured, and not the same player. Sanchez came to United a star, but his greedy and selfish attitude saw him become a loner at the club.

The key is to move to a more performance related pay structure, which is what they are kind of doing. Fernandes has been United's best player since he arrived, so it wasn't surprising he received a big pay rise recently.

I thought Casemiro was Man Utd's best player in the first couple of games?

Casemiro is being asked to do a different job for a poor Man Utd side vs. the role he did for Real Madrid.

What is he talking about???!!!!

Casemiro was only expected to play about 30 games for Real Madrid in his final season, and that was made clear to him by Ancelotti. They wanted to manage him carefully due to his advancing years, whilst also giving their younger players some valuable experience. That prompted Casemiro to quit Real for United once he knew they were interested. Then Ten Hag overused Casemiro in his first season, and the ailing body just couldn't keep up with the demands of the premier league after about 35 full games. The following season he only got worse, not only in his levels of stamina and pace, but also his shocking decision making, giving away daft fouls, getting needless red cards, and being an absolute liability in nearly every match he played in. It should have been Casemiro who United sold or sent out on loan, as opposed to McTominay, who has goals in him, and isn't a reckless player. Not one team made a bid for Casemiro, and Galatasaray were the only team to ask for a loan move, which United accepted, but Casemiro rejected it. He may well end up staying on the United bench if Ugarte doesn't get injured or sent off, before finally being shown the door next summer.

We need to rest Kobbie for a bit. Have a midfield of Ugarte and Casemiro for a few games bc we cant have 2 mids without legs. Ugartes legs should allow casemiro to advance up the pitch more where he can do what he does best. Rotating kobbie, ugarte, case and toby will be key for us this season

Casemiro is only staying for the money. He should be given a part-time coaching role alongside what l expect to be a bit part playing role from now on. He shouldn't be starting at all in the league and Europa League if the first choice players are available, but he could be used in the league cup and FA Cup matches. I would prefer for him to not feature in the FA Cup as a starter, but because of his £350k a week wages he won't be left to rot in the reserves throughout the season.
