Back To School Memories

Going back to school can be seen as miserable or exciting depending on who you ask. For me, it stressed me out. Having six weeks of summer to enjoy and bask in was lovely, but returning for yet another school year meant a dirge of stress came raining down on me. New teachers for classes, heightened expectations, getting used to a new timetable, and trying to feel emotionally up-together.
I used to feel upset when returning to school, I didn't like the change of routine. I also remember my first day in Year 7, and I was so timid and wanted to be at home where I felt safe. Getting used to a new school, new peers and a new system was immensely hard for me for the first couple of weeks. I have a condition called Hydrocephalus, and I think that has something to do with how insecure and upset I felt heading into a new school.
I'd like to know what your experiences of starting school again in September, whether you're entering a new school or returning for another year. Anything exciting or memorable happen when you returned to school?
I found it nerve-wracking but exciting! New timetables, fresh start, some new teachers... it was fun!
